Employees Only My Butt

I’ve just recently discovered the secret of La Esquina: the real La Esquina is behind the the “Employees Only” door. I’ve been there a couple of times. I’ve noticed rather fancy SoHo-ites emerging from the door and thought something was off. My suspicions proved correct when recently researching the internet. I found out that there [...]

Back in the Day

My Top Favorite Black & White Movies (in no particular order):
A Patch of Blue

A few moments into the show, he asks in Korean,
“Are those girls hookers?”
I couldn’t stop laughing at the irony.
Oh, I love old [...]

A movie of a play about a play about Hitler but not really…

I finally got around to watching The Producers. The only part I really enjoyed was Nathan Lane. I love the guy. Great voice, great expressions, great acting.
Can anyone explain why Uma Thurman was in that movie?

The Doldrums

I remember reading an excerpt of The Phantom Tollbooth way back in the hayday of elementary school. My memory tends to fail me consistently, so all I can recall of what I read is that the protagonist somehow got stuck in the land of the Doldrums. Everyone there was just lethargic and lazy.
Today is definitely [...]

Say What?

I’ve never been very good at long-term projects. Here goes.
